Can't really compare us to Boston now because they have an all star player not playing, Gordon Hayward, who will put their offense in overdrive next year. Will definitely have to be in the top 7 to get JJJ, but if we are in the right position (top 7) and go defensive I would go Bamba first (7'9" wingspan, 4 blocks per game), Bagley 2nd with JJJ 3rd. Bur if we are dreaming I want to resign Hezonja first (I assume we will match a Gordon offer) and then I would love Doncic first and T. Young second. I think both can make our other players better as good PG's do along with everything else will both bring to our offense. Unlikely to happen. it's us!!!!

No ****. Thats why absolutism is ignorant. A great offense with limited defense will go as far in the nba as a great defense with limited offense. You just need to score more points than the other team. To be a great team you need to have a great offense and a great defense. But to be a good team you can get away with being good on one side and average on the other

TBH an Isaac-Gordon-JJJ frontline has me salivating from a defensive standpoint. Offensive development would be key.

It would be interesting to know what management thinks about AG and Isaac. Do they think Isaac is our PF of the future? Do they want to play them together? How many of you would trade AG for the player or pick that would be Ayton, Doncic, or Bagley?

Before the trade deadline I thought AG would bring in a huge haul if we traded him... multiple 1sts including a lottery pick this year, and a young stud player. I floated it on RealGM and found out quickly that we Magic homers value AG a lot more than anybody else in the league does.

They were right on nobody giving a late 1st for EP at least.

One thing a sign and trade CAN still do though is get a player to a team that can't outright sign him because of salary cap.

I agree. We should have a discussion with him and if he is leaving we should not play him. #1 it hurts the tank and #2 we are showcasing him for some other team and getting nothing back. I wish he would have broken out BEFORE the extension deadline instead of after.
